Group Classes
Guitar for Beginners – Age Groups 8-10 and 11-15
This 8 week program is designed to introduce kids to the wonderful world of music through the use of guitar playing and learning how to critically listen to music. Our instructors work with the children and teens to promote learning and experiencing music without intimidation. The program concludes in early June with a short performance open to the public. The after school program is designed not only to be fun and exciting, but also to help the students develop a deepened sense of musical phrase, structure and form, as well as improve their performance skills.
This summer we are looking foreword to having a band class program that will teach the kids how the different instruments work together, such as Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keys and Vocals.
• Grand Central Music is offering 45 minute group classes once a week.
• The group classes will be an 8 week program.
• We are allowing 4-6 students per class.
• Sign up Deadline is April 10th
• Classes start on the week of April 14th through the first week of June
• There will be four class times available to choose from:
Mondays 3:30 to 4:15 Ages 8-11
4:30 to 5:15 Ages 12-15
Wednesdays 3:30 to 4:15 Ages 8-11
4:30 to 5:15 Ages 12-15
• Registration for the 8 week program is $160 plus a $25 registration fee, which will include a book and CD.
• Nylon stringed guitars are recommended. We will have guitars available to rent or to purchase.
